A census of ultra rare ingots and 19th century bars
Through our journey in collecting increasingly rare vintage poured historical silver and gold bars, we quickly realized there is a deep need for accurate and up-to-date information to lean on. Many surviving bars are one-of-a-kind and rarely seen, if ever. Our goal is to arm the astute collector with more knowledge around these precious pieces, their origins, their makers, and their history in order to make collecting more enjoyable.
These pieces play and important role in our history and demand a dedicated and studied approach. Rare collectible ingots go far beyond bullion.

Our ingot research archive is an ongoing effort towards documenting assayers, rare poured bars, their history, their origins and more. We aim to provide a useful resource for newcomers and seasoned collectors in alike in the world of vintage bars.

We largely focus on poured ingots made of precious metals including gold and/or silver. In some rare cases, they may contain other notable metals as well such as copper, lead, and more!
